Redness and Sensitivity

Sensitivity is a concern that almost all of us will experience in our lifetime. While some skins are a lot more sensitive than others, sensitivity will usually occur temporarily on the skin.

At James Vivian, we often see clients experiencing sensitives of the skin as a reaction to a misuse of products. Typically, those who over-exfoliate or use ingredients like Vitamin A unsuitable for their skin, will experience symptoms of sensitivity and often redness. ...

When speaking to sensitivity, our skins can show signs of it in a number of ways.

Typically, a reaction to either a topical or internal allergen or aggravator, common signs of sensitivity to the skin are redness, dryness, flaking, itchiness and breakouts.

Long-term sensitivity can stem from illness or underlying skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema and psoriasis. Often other environmental factors triggering allergies can exacerbate these sensitivities further.

While it may seem like there are many things out there waiting to trigger your sensitivities, there is hope!

A cohort of skin loving products and treatments are available to show compromised skin some real love and attention and help to keep it calm and avoid further irritation.
